Ethical Policies
Conflict of Interest
Authors are required to furnish a Financial Disclosure statement on the title page, disclosing any relationships or interests related to their work. Furthermore, all submitted manuscripts must incorporate a Conflict of Interest statement, encompassing both financial and non-financial potential conflicts of interest. In the event that no conflict of interest exists, authors should include the following statement on the title page: "Financial Disclosure: The authors have no affiliations with any companies or products mentioned in this article."
A competing interest arises when an author's interpretation of data or presentation of information might be influenced by personal or financial relationships, whether with individuals or organizations. Additionally, if any author listed in the manuscript's byline possesses an interest or association that could be perceived as impacting their decision-making process, it should be declared during the submission process. Should the manuscript be accepted for publication in the Journal, each author is required to provide their signature on a provided copyright assignment form, reaffirming any financial disclosures or affiliations with companies or products mentioned in the manuscript. A Financial Disclosure statement containing pertinent information will be prominently featured on the first page of the published article. Editors may request further information pertaining to competing interests.
Authors should also make note of any research grants received and financial support for educational programs.
Human and Animal Rights
In the Introduction section, authors are requested to include a statement detailing the guidelines followed to ensure compliance with human and animal rights, as applicable, as well as the attainment of ethics committee approval. It is imperative that all research has been conducted within an appropriate ethical framework to meet the Journal's publication standards. The Editors retain the prerogative to scrutinize authors' adherence to ethical considerations and may reject the manuscript if, at any point before publication, the research or editorial content is found to conflict with ethical norms. Furthermore, all descriptions, data, charts, and photographs must safeguard the anonymity of study subjects or subjects of case reports.
Informed Consent
Authors are expected to incorporate a statement confirming the acquisition of informed patient consent and ethics committee approval, where applicable, prior to initiating the study or treatment. Authors must also specify that the original research received approval from the local institutional review board.
