Meta-analyses of large studies on malformation in assisted reproductive technology offspring found an adjusted OR of 1.28. Longer follow-up found a 30% higher incidence of malformation, with intracytoplasmic sperm injection posing a higher risk (1.35 vs. 1.14) than in vitro fertilization.
